Fused Glass Taster Workshop

Looking for a fun and creative introduction to glass art? Our Fused Glass Taster Workshop is the perfect half-day experience for beginners and anyone curious about learning the art of glass fusing.

During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of fused glass techniques while creating a selection of beautiful handmade glass pieces. First, your tutor will introduce you to the tools, materials, and techniques used in glass fusing. Then, you’ll learn how to cut, layer, shape, and decorate glass using a variety of decorative materials and effects.

Next, you can choose from a colourful selection of art glass, frits, stringers, dichroic glass, and glass paints to create designs that reflect your own style. As you work through the session, you’ll make:

• Two decorative fused glass suncatchers
• A dichroic glass pendant or keyring
• A miniature fused glass artwork suitable for mounting in a greeting card

Because this is a taster workshop, it’s an ideal way to experience kiln-formed glass without committing to a full-day course. Whether you’re a complete beginner, a creative hobbyist, or simply looking for a unique craft activity, you’ll leave with new skills and original designs.

After the workshop, we carefully kiln-fire your glass creations at temperatures of up to 800°C. This process permanently fuses the layers of glass together, creating durable and colourful finished pieces. Although firing takes several hours, we’ll contact you as soon as your work is ready for collection. Alternatively, if you would like your glass posted, simply select courier delivery during the checkout process.
