Fused Glass Masterclass – 2-day workshop (Installment Option Available)

Join our immersive 2-day fused glass masterclass and take your kiln work to the next level. Over two creative days, you will explore advanced kiln-fusing and slumping techniques while building confidence in designing and producing your own kiln-fired glass pieces.

First, you will learn how to cut, shape, and assemble glass with precision as you develop designs suited to kiln work. Then, you will progress into a deeper exploration of glass fusing methods, including full fuse, tack fuse, and slumping techniques. As you refine your skills, you will also experiment with layering, colour dilution, and striking surface effects such as the crackle finish.

In addition, you will work with a wide and inspiring selection of materials. You will choose from coloured glass, frits, stringers, and specialist glass paints to bring texture, depth, and vibrancy to your designs. Throughout the process, expert guidance will help you combine materials effectively and confidently.

Once your designs are complete, you will prepare them for kiln firing. Your work will then undergo several hours of firing in a specialist kiln, reaching temperatures of around 800°C. As a result, your pieces will transform into fused glass artworks with rich colour and dynamic surface effects.

Finally, on this fused glass masterclass, you will gain both technical understanding and creative freedom, allowing you to continue developing your kiln-glass practice beyond the workshop. With an instalment payment option available, this fused glass masterclass remains accessible while offering a high-level, hands-on creative experience for both developing and experienced glass artists.

What do I need to bring?

Please arrive wearing a mask or suitable face covering. This is necessary as some people may arrive together. This mask can be removed once you have been issued with your face shield. Please do not wear open shoes.
